Solistrat inks conduct of Survey for SCP’s RISE for Children Project

Solistrat spearheaded the conduct of the baseline study of the Save the Children Philippines’ (SCP) Resilient, Inclusive, and Safe Education (RISE) for Children in April 2021.

The SCP, in partnership with its counterparts in Australia and Canada, implemented the RISE for Children Project to aid the education sector in the Philippines. The Project aims to ensure the continuity of education of vulnerable 6-12 year-old/primary school aged girls and boys in the COVID-19 crisis, as well as supporting the learning for the most deprived children living in care institutions.

The project is implemented in the cities of Paranaque and Taguig and the lone municipality of Pateros all in the National Capital Region. The main beneficiaries of the Project are the households who face extreme poverty to mitigate at least the costs of supporting their children’s education.

To ensure that the project is evidence-based, Solistrat was tapped to conduct a rapid baseline study with in-school children, children in care institutions, and parents/caregivers with the aim of generating information. The baseline study was conducted through a rapid technology-assisted survey enabling a speedy yet error-free data gathering. The results will be used as bases in measuring progress vis a vis the intermediate outcomes of the RISE for Children.

During the implementation of the RISE for Children, Solistrat also did the vulnerability mapping and review of communications platform components of the project. Currently, it is doing the end line study.
